October 31st, 2002 by Habib

Two great quotes fron the ticker-tape on CNNNNN- “Union Boss Realises Irony Of Own Position” and “M.C. Escher Tourist Maps Fail To Take Off”- utterley classic. Ranks up there with the spiralling headline for the National Observer in “Flying High”- “Boy Trapped In Refrigerator Eats Own Foot”.

Did anyone have the good

October 31st, 2002 by Habib

Did anyone have the good fortune to view Lateline (ABC TV 30/11 2235)- Tony Jones had some complete loony on line from Jakarta extolling the virtues of Abu Bakir Bashir.
It was like watching a combination of early Monty Python and later Faulty Towers.

Prof. Ahmad Ayef Saytill swerved fom Manuel style incoherrence “I know nurthing” “I am frum Jerkaarter”
to a Michael Palin-like rendition of Vince (Snetterton) Lewis- “he was a smashin’ bloke- used to bring his muvver flowers an’ that” - straight out of the Pirana Brothers; absolutely hilarious.

If Prof. Saytill is an informed source on Islamic naughtiness, Neddy Smith is a good source of information on law and order.
They both know plenty, but for reason of their own will keep schtum.

One other great line from Prof. Saytill- “Fundamentalism isn’t limited to Islam- in Jonestown they killed hundreds”.
And rightly so- pity it wasn’t a few more- the big difference was though, Prof, they killed themselves, not poor bastards reading stock updates or getting pissed and trying to pick up some old bat from Penrith.
Carpe Diem sez I.

Oh dear…finally logged-in under own name….

Profile….never looked good in profile…..
Occupation…passing of gas in confined spaces…
Ambition…health..ie the way of dying the slowest.
What inspires me…fuck all mostly…although the ability of pricks like Adler et al to avoid gaol, is, in its own obscene way, quite impressive…
Who would I like to most sit next to on a plane ?….not Ray Williams….Julie Newmar would be OK, and Christa Hughes even better …
Favourite movie….Ikuru…..well, ok, it’s about a guy dying….
If only one word was left to me to use( in the English language)…..”mucous”…so flexible, yet so appropriate for any occasion…

Currently residing in Adelaide…not yet shot at or run-down……A seminar today reminding why ‘ethicists’ should never be put in practical decision making situations…..we’d all be dead and buried by the time they’d finished talking, let alone made up their minds……

As usual, until we can

October 30th, 2002 by Habib

As usual, until we can get this site to a decent provider, all correspondence, death-threats, offers of cash for comment and general gibberish should be directed to dailydiatribe@rumcorps.net for review, thanks or posting on the Dunn and Bradstreet list of complete and utter bastards who should not only have no credit, but should be dragged out into the street and set on fire. Slowly. Using something with a very high flash-point. Even then, doused down and set on fire again. Maybe then stuffed into a freezer. One full of rotting squid. (the power is off in the freezer). Then set on fire again, this time for laughs.
Who says accountants have no sence of humour?

October 30th, 2002 by Habib

Due to the STUNNING response to the last web questionnaire- ZERO responses- I am putting up a book on Bob Brown saying something incredibly stupid in public- a calcutta if you like, with nominations starting at 12 hours from now, 2030 AEST. Put forward your best estimates- the winner gets a tree.

So.. undue force was used

October 30th, 2002 by Habib

So.. undue force was used by the AFP when they apprehended the suspect JI member in western Sydney, according to his lawyer.
Well boo hoo!!!!
I think it’s about time that lawyers twigged the old “They gave me a right kicking, guv’nor” mitigation went the way of outdoor dunnies and cars made out of metal…..
Except for professional carers and worriers, the vast majority of punters would like to see the scrotes who have burgled their houses and left richard-the-thirds all over the floor get a good flogging before fronting the beak, and get time in the slot equivalent to their behaviour, let alone some arsehole who may have been connected with the deaths of 100+ Australians.

A funny thing, excessive force, would the same yahoos consider Kuta beach and the World Trade Centre excessive force?
I don’t know what the CIA/NSA did to that Kuwati poo-bag they grabbed in Indonesia and carted off to Afghanistan, but he certainly provided some very valuable intelligence; and what’s more, I don’t care what they did, as long as it provided results.
Anyone mixed up with these Al Qu’eda cells has lost their rights to due process- the Spetznaz showed the best way of dealing with these fanatics- the old NKVD 9mm induced cereberal haemmorage.

Does this idiot SERIOUSLY believe ANYONE who counts gives a RATS COLON if this dickhead got a bit of a touch-up?

(It is usually the first move by the defence if the defendant is guilty to try to undermine the prosecution by putting forward the idea that their client has been mistreated or denied their rights- funny, that, innit).

Memo- RAAF. Why don’t you

October 30th, 2002 by Habib

Memo- RAAF. Why don’t you see if you can find out the location for that piece of file footage trotted out by the media anytime JI is mentioned?

I think it would be a better spot to try out some ordinance rather than on the non-fanatic non-fundamentalist fish residing off Lennox Head- or do you know something we don’t?
Don’t tell me- it’s all starting to make sense- Harold Holt, a suicide squad of sardines, swiming with Semtex……..

Is no-where and no-one safe from these fruitcakes????? What next- kamikaze carp, bluebottle bombs?????

For…….. fucks………….. sake………..

It’s funny how the viewpoint

October 29th, 2002 by Habib

It’s funny how the viewpoint of the ABC changes when something that Abc-deologues feel some affinity with is attatcked-
Whilst the Balmain bolsheviks who infest the National broadcaster would look down their ferrety noses at Bali as a holiday destination, (let alone a bureau appointment), because it is a destination favoured by “working” class, or more to the point, welfare mothers, unemployed surf-rats, Byron Bay entrepreneurs and others looked upon favourably by the monocular viewpoint of the “quality news-gatherers” at the taxpayer-funded Pravda, Four Corners (ABC 8.30pm Monday, 28th October) did a reasonably well researched and relatively hard-line hatchet job on Islamofascism, especially sourced in SE Asia.

I wonder what the angle would have been if the bombing had taken place at St Tropez, or Monte Carlo during Grand Prix week- perhaps it would then have been a statement by freedom-fighters challenging Western global economic dominance, and protesting the poverty inflicted on the Third world by greedy capitalists. (And secretly, those bloated rapists of non-anglo culture REALLY had it coming).

This is the sort of reportage expected from the ABC by the poor slobs who have to stump up for its existence- middle class taxpayers. It’s funny that it takes the turning into pink mist of a few of the people who are never likely to pay for (or watch) the ABC to turn the ABC into an actual news broadcaster rather than a platform for editorials from taxpayer-paid hacks, who spend most of their time lecturing (and hectoring) the vast majority of their benefectors who voted for, and continue to support, the Howard government.

We were obviously perverted by devious right-wing propaganda and spin, we could not possibly have made up our own minds; we are too stupid to look at matters of policy, ability, performance and potential and make an informed judgement of our own.
We must have been out of our tiny minds to reject the path of tired, hackneyed and irrelevent Whitlamism.

We MUST be taken by our palsied hands and led into the light by those much clever than us- after all, they have University degrees in journalism!!
(I have one too- it’s hanging in the shithouse, with an endorsement “In case of emergency, break glass”).

University Student Unions just get

October 28th, 2002 by Habib

University Student Unions just get more and more relevant. The Queensland University of Technologys’ Student Guild recently issued its guidlines for applications for scholarships and bursaries- but forget it if you happen to be equiped with a white willie.
That’s right, white males are specifically excluded (mind you, if you have a clacker like a wizards’ pocket due to numerous bouts of tail-gunning, you may get an exeption).
This is the sort of idiotic thinking that saw the result in the Cunningham by-election- exclude 60% of the electorate from representation and expect that 60% to support you.
The policy had the same result- the QUT penis-apartheid apparatchiks were booted out on their boiler-suited bums, and rightly so.
How stupid are these rug-munching retro-radicals, anyway? if they bothered reading a REAL paper, rather than the Socialist Worker, they may have realised that the Commonwealth has won a vital test case in the ACCC, which will be tested in the Federal court, whereby compulsion in membership of student unions guilds will no longer be compulsory- so while their own private Rome is quiety immolating, they are fiddling away (and probably with each other).
Their very existence and position of power over students is about to dissapear, and these cretins are pushing gender/equality issues more suited to the sixties than the noughties; it’s no wonder the only place these pinheads can get jobs when (and a big IF) they ever graduate is as a policy adviser to some equally addled Democrat or ratbag-left non-entity in the ALP- they deserve no better.
