Sort of looking for a good definition of beneficence……currently working on ” that element of character that prevents one from beating the living crap out others who so richly deserve it….”. Next stop….’autonomy’……….

What has E.coli got in common with ecology? In sufficient quantities, both give humans the shits.
And judging by the quantities of both present in and around the current gabfest in Johburg, prepare for a deluge of dysentry of biblical proportions.
Meanwhile in local events, perhaps I need to get out and drink more- one good pissup and a flogging from a publican whilst I try to break into his gaff would save me a years work.
Some pinhead from the Plaintiff’s Lawyers Association attempted to defend the ruling by drawing parallels with certain parts of the US, where deadly force is legal in dealing with intruders- I have no problem with this.
If someone is attempting egress to your premises in the dead of night, they are not there to borrow a cup of sugar.
My personal view is that rather than being awarded $18,000 for the trauma of seeing her half-wit son after copping a well deserved flogging, the idiot mother of this pea-brain should have been fined $18,000 for letting the idiot out without a keeper, or more so for giving birth to him in the first place.
I don’t know about all the hooey about using tissue that is destined for the hospital incinerator for worthwhile genetic research, but some people currently using up perfectly good air are nothing but walking organ banks.
I must admit to a fondness for the hops, especially in my youth, but always rationalised anything untoward which came my way as a result of being totally rat-arsed was entirely my fault.
Personal responsibility has dissapeared with freely available litigation- if Hitler was around now, his defence would be that a jew once stole his bicycle, and Poland blocked his view of the steppes from Berchtestgarden.

Just what is wrong with deputy leader of the democrats? Has a curse been placed on the position by one of the covens who would be the last remaining supporters of the democrats? There must be worse jobs than being second banana in one of the fruitiest bunches around, but no-one wants it. I would take it only for the guaranteed laughs in the cabinet room.
Meanwhile in South Africa, I hope the CS gas being shot at the anti-globalisation protesters in Johburg is organic and biodegradable- it would be a shame if such a worthwhile event was spoilt by thinking locally and not globally.

Well, here we are, finally on the air. My mouse port decided to join the choir invisible, and i have been unable to set this up before now.
Anyway, what a great week to set up a blog- the red hordes are on retreat everywhere.
The un-democrats, in a piece of unbridled stupidity, got rid of the only senator they had who seemed he had some idea of balance of power politics- Aden Ridgeway may not have been the brightest bulb in the pack, but he did at least show some interest in dealing to achieve some outcomes- pragmatism being an alien existence to the lovely “Tashie”.
Instead, we now have two minor interest parties in the senate run by former stundent activist/gay rights campaigners, who will no doubt try to outdo each other in the “i’m a bigger lefty ratbag than you ” stakes.
It would seem that the market is fairly well saturated with that sort of haven for the perpetually berwildered in the form of the greens- a case of this senate isn’t big enough for the both of us- a showdown at the KY corral.
Also, the pinup boy of the “DIMEA is EVIL” set, Ali (Istanbul not Constantinople) Baktiari, is now as self confessed teller of porkies, if in fact an adherent of Islam can partake of anything involving the proceeds of porcine mortality.
Yet the yahoos who have blindly accepted everything told to them by detainees as fact, without any attempt to ascertain facts, still run with the story. Perhaps the only thing that would result in a change of view would be photographic evidence that the “happy wanderer” (apologies to Tim Blair) was principle executioner for Pol Pot, and even then they would defend him as ridding the world of people more intellegent than themselves.
A letter I have sent repeatedly to the major dailies, adressed directly to the bleeding hearts who infest the letters page (mine being never published), give the relevant section on the Migration Act, whereby any number of these people who are so concerned about the welfare of those poor passengers who had the misfortune to use Illegal Immigrant Transport PL, wherby they can put their meagre money where their voluminous mouths are, and sponsor the landing of any number of these people- the rub being they would have to take on financial and legal responsibility for them. They seem only keen if it can be done at the cost of the taxpayer, incidentially it would seem how most of these mis-begots rely also for their income.
Finally, Canturbury-Bankstown, the old Alma-Mater of my favourite ex-PM (he was a shithead when in power) is shown as a haven of hideous corruption- the Sydney Lebenese community can’t win a trick.
Their repulsive sons have been banged up for a rightfully long time, and the crap league side they latched onto having been thrown out of every soccer ground in Sydney because of their rotten behaviour has been shown to be as bent as they are. Who says there is no justice?
Finally, let me introduce myself. I am a 42 year old Customs Broker, who has spent 16 years in the Australian Customs Service. I am a failed journalism student, which probably explains why I can write- the faculty staff didn’t have enough time to remove any ability from my head, as I spent my entire first year at the pub.
I am a former member of the ALP, and variour other ratbag organisations- my defence being the old adage “If you are not a socialist by the time you are 20, you have no heart, If you are not a capitalist by hte time you are 30, you have no brains.”
